We are a small, independent but warm-hearted and friendly group of people who enjoy meeting together to worship God. You too, are warmly invited to join us for any of our meetings. Christianity has been around for a long time and has stood the test of time: although in Great Britain church attendance has dropped; the church worldwide is growing.
There has been a Baptist presence in Ryarsh for nearly 200 years, and, like most churches, we have had our ups and downs. There have been times in the past when the building was full, and as is often the case today with less than 20.
Our Eldership has a very high view of the Scriptures and therefore the Bible has a prominent place in all our various meetings. We aim to explain the Bible in a way that is both faithful to its message and also shows its relevance to all of today's needs for all people.
Our services are more traditional in style, singing generally well known hymns and songs. We read God's Word, the Bible, and we pray. The sermon or address is an important part of our worship during which a passage from the Bible is explained and its principles applied to our daily lives.
Why not Join us for a Sunday service and learn more about the Bible and the Way to Life. It takes very little to become a Christian, but the biggest challenge anyone has ever faced is to live the Christian life.
Our Elder, John Field (01622 718164) is always pleased to meet with and chat to anyone about the Christian faith and will always try to deal with any concerns or questions you may have. Whilst we do not have answers to every problem, we will always try to point you in the right direction.
